Charlie Long Strapped Tote - Only 7 of 20 Remain
Share
Whenever life becomes overwhelming, I spend time looking at my painting of Charlie. This horse has led a long and useful life, and now he's retired and livin' the dream. It's late on a Sunday morning. He's finished brunch and he's strolling down to the pasture. Maybe he'll indulge in a nap, although it's a shame miss a second of such a lovely summer day.
This image is from a painting that hangs in my studio. Of all the art I've ever created, Charlie is my favorite. It was done in a five day workshop many years ago in the middle of horse country in Millwood Virginia. Oh, the luxury of spending five days painting there! Held in a little two-room schoolhouse from the 19th century, it was a step back in time. And if you're a horse lover, check out his sister and nephew at Gimmee Sugar. Long strapped totes are the workhorses of your wardrobe.
Charlie has quit the rat race. Join him, at least for a little while. . .
